Trends

A trend is being established in which the phosphorus and the solids are being retained in Jordanelle and the load below the dam is minor. The selective level outlet works at the dam is being operated well to minimize impacts to the Provo River water quality downstream.

Problems & Concerns

1. Flows from Spring Creek continue to be the major contributor of Phosphorus and Solids to the Provo River System. Spring Creek contributes from 50% to 70% of the TP Load and over 80% of the DRP Load to the River.

2. The Country Flood Control Channel is also a major contributor of Phosphorus to the Provo Rover System. Phosphorus concentrations are high though the flow is sporadic.
